Tuning
Tuning your piano regularly is the first step to having a healthy instrument. Humidity is constantly making subtle changes to your piano, whether you can hear it or not! At the minimum, pianos should be tuned annually to maintain proper pitch. Consistent tunings will enable your piano to sing at its full potential.
Maintenance
There are thousands of parts inside the piano that are the catalyst between the movement of the key and the production of sound. Depending on the alignment of these parts, your piano can feel heavy or light, bumpy or smooth, stiff or flexible."Regulation" is the maintenance of these parts, and it ensures that your piano is playing the way it was designed to play. If you are not happy with the way your piano feels, it is most likely a regulation problem and totally fixable. Regulations are recommended every 5-10 years depending on how much it is being played.
